Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are excited by the prospect of further arrivals at the Emirates Stadium before the close of the transfer window and Metro has some positive news.
Paris Saint-Germain are said to be willing to listen to offers for young midfielder Adrien Rabiot – a player Arsene Wenger has had his eye on for some time.
The Gunners are now considered favourites to secure the signing of the teenager although Italian giants Juventus and Roma are also said to be interested.
Rabiot is highly thought of at PSG but has become frustrated with his lack of first team opportunities with the French champions.
The purchase of Yohan Cabaye in January saw Rabiot slip further down Laurent Blanc’s midfield pecking order and he has since rejected the offer of a new contract at the Parc Des Princes.
The 19-year-old has just 12 months left to run on his current deal meaning PSG are ready to listen to offers in the hope of avoiding losing him on a free transfer next summer.
Arsene Wenger looks set to complete a cut-price deal for the talented midfielder before the close of the transfer window.
