The Arsenal supporters here in the Transfer Tavern have been a really miserable bunch for the past couple of months with the realisation of a trophy-less season really beginning to set in.
The Gunners have now gone 13 seasons since last winning the Premier League title and the pressure on Arsene Wenger is increasing with every passing season.
The summer will be crucial for Wenger and he knows he must get it right as he bids to end their baron spell without winning the title.
Several high profile players have been linked with the club ahead of summer moves but their French boss is still seemingly reluctant to part with any large sums of cash, especially according to a newspaper report spotted by one of our punters.
An article in The Metro has confirmed that Arsenal are considering a move for the Moroccan freestyler Yasin Ben El-Mhanni, who has been dubbed the ‘non-league Riyad Mahrez’ and a trial could be arranged in the summer.
The West London-born youngster has had trials with West Brom and Chelsea and more recently has been turning out for non-league outfit Lewes, in the Ryman Premier League.
One Arsenal fan has seen this news and is not best pleased, stating Arsenal should be concerned about signing Europe’s top players ahead of their rivals, not pursuing targets who are playing semi-professional football.
Arsenal fans, what do you make to this news? Do you know much about El-Mhanni? Who would you like to see the club sign?
