Arsenal want to sign world-class striker before Euro 2016

GriezmannArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have expressed their delight after hearing the latest reports from the continent, which suggest a world-class striker is being eyed for a transfer by the Gunners.

Arsene Wenger has requested that Arsenal sign Antoine Griezmann before next summer’s Euro 2016 tournament in France, where the forward’s value is likely to rise with impressive performances.

Griezmann has excelled with Atletico Madrid, since arriving in the Spanish capital after last summer’s World Cup, after previously starring with Basque side Real Sociedad.

Arsenal failed to add a striker to their squad during the previous window, which earned Wenger a lot of criticism, but Theo Walcott has impressed in a central berth whilst Olivier Giroud has also hit a decent run of form.

Griezmann’s potential arrival would raise the Gunners’ attacking stock up vastly, with fans excited to see an attack that would include the French international alongside Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez- creating a side which should be able to fight on all fronts.
