Premier League outfit are preparing a £42 million bid for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, with the club set to admit defeat in their quest to sign Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain.
The news seen in French newspaper Le Progres via The Express has alerted the regular crowd of Gooners here in the Transfer Tavern who are desperately hoping that boss Arsene Wenger continues to splash the cash this summer.
The 21-year-old was in fine form last season scoring a respectable 21 goals for the French club and a move to the Premier League could be on the cards.
