There is drama here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it has been claimed by talkSPORT that Real Madrid youngster Jese Rodriguez may well be set for a move to England.
The forward has become more and more prominent in the Castilla side at the Spanish giants and has been growing increasingly frustrated at his lack of opportunities to break into the first team this term, especially given Alvaro Morata has managed it more regularly.
Having recently voiced his frustration at the club and the fact that Jose Mourinho is not giving him a chance, it is now claimed a move away may be on the cards.
Whilst Real Madrid may well favour a loan deal or a Jose Callejon-like move that includes a buy back option, both Arsenal and West Ham United are considering making a swoop for the forward. The English clubs will however face competition from Bayer Leverkusen who are attempting to land the forward on a year long loan – something Real Madrid are more than willing to consider.
Given that Jose Mourinho’s future at the club is more than a little uncertain, this could also have an effect on the club given that should a new manager come in – or indeed academy coach Toril take over, Jese would almost certainly be presented with a chance to make his mark, scuppering any chance of a move.
Will Arsenal and West Ham miss out on Jese this time? Rate this rumour below.
