Arsenal woes continue with another long-term injury setback

CazorlaArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have used every curse-word they possibly could today and are wondering how many mirrors Arsene Wenger smashed during the summer.

The Gooners have been left aggrieved after the latest injury setback to rock the North London side, asĀ The GuardianĀ report Santi Cazorla will be absent for the next three months.

Cazorla’s issue adds further concerns to Arsenal’s season, as he joins Francis Coquelin on the Gunners long-term absentee list, whilst Arsenal’s overall injured continent now stands at 10 players.

Jack Wilshere, Danny Welbeck and Tomas Rosicky are yet to feature this season, whilst it remains to be seen whether Laurent Koscielny, Theo Walcott, Mikel Arteta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be ready for the weekend.

As it stands, Arsenal would enter a huge period in their season without a wealth of first-team players as many of their injured contingent are regarded as starters in Arsene Wenger’s squad.

For Gooners, it’s a major concern ahead of a crucial month of Premier League fixtures and next week’s winner-takes-all clash with Olympiakos.
