Arsenal have picked up a bit in recent weeks in the Premier League and will be hoping to continue their good form off the back of the international break.
The Gunners are looking to get themselves back in the Champions League at the end of this season, and our landlord here in the Tavern thinks that to do that the club need to make some serious investments in the squad during January.
With rumours still circulating over the futures of big earners Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, the club could need to act and go out and get themselves a big name star in the squad to fire them to success and potentially even replace the two stars if they move on.
One player we think could do an excellent job in the Premier League is German World Cup hero Mario Gotze, who is back at Borussia Dortmund following a spell with Bayern which didn’t quite deliver the success he would have hoped for.
However, Gotze is still only 25-years-old and has bags to offer in terms of his career, with a move to the Emirates looking like a perfect fit. His ability to play across all the attacking midfield positions marks him out as an attractive proposition for Arsene Wenger, and there is little doubting his ability.
If Arsenal can sign Gotze, then their chances of success certainly improve.
Gunners fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know!
