Arsenal are on the verge of landing Ivory Coast front man Gervinho and according to Mirrorfootball, the club have agreed a fee of £10.6m with French champions Lille and its believed the 24 year old could be a Premiership player in the next 48 hours.
Arsene Wenger has seen off the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle to finally be in touching distance of bringing his man to North London.
Gervinho has spent two season’s spearheading the attack at the Metropole and during the last campaign he bagged 18 goals over all, playing a vital role in crowning Lille domestic Champions for the first time since 1954.
It’s not quite that long without a trophy at the Emirates, but I’m sure it certainly feels that way amongst the fans. He will look to pick up where he left off as he crosses the Channel and will seek to add another trophy to his CV, and the first to the Arsenal cabinet since 2005.
The Arsenal boss is showing signs of movement and appears to be looking to for fill the clubs requirements as he also continues to fight for Blackburn’s Chris Samba like a dog with a bone. He is also lining up a move for Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazilian midfielder Willian, as he prepares for the worst where Nasri and Fabregas are concerned.
