And here’s another one!!
As well as Bendtner, Chamakh, Clichy and Arshavin being linked with moves away from the Gunners, (plus the rumours linking Cesc Fabregas with a transfer to Barcelona, that just never seems to go away) it seems that Samir Nasri has also been put on the ‘For Sale’ list, as Arsenal look to raise a potentially massive war-chest.
The news came through the sport’s pages of the Sunday Mirror, and it would appear that Nasri could find himself surplus to requirements come August. The Mirror suggested that Nasri’s contract talks with the Gunner’s had stalled, and as such he was primed for a move away from the Emirates. The French midfielder has been one of the stars of Arsenal’s campaign this season, scoring 9 goals for them and making 23 appearances. But Arsenal are reluctant to let him sit out his contract, and are desperate to get what they can for him now.
Top of the list of suitors for Nasri’s talents, according to the Mirror, are Inter Milan who would be willing to match Arsenal’s asking figure of £12 million.
When good players like Nasri, who is only 23 remember, are being touted for possible moves then you know Arsene Wenger has plans to really start from scratch. Arsenal fans will be hoping he knows what he’s doing, or that Nasri suddenly has a change of heart and signs for another 4 years.
