25-year-old wants to play for Arsenal next season after reported transfer development

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been enjoyed a relatively busy summer by their standards and many of the Gooners propping up our bar tonight are hopeful of some more activity before the close of the window.

Indeed, while many of our north London locals are optimistic about the idea of seeing Arsene Wenger adding to his squad even further, reports from the Sun actually centre around the notion of a player potentially leaving the Emirates Stadium.

They claim the Gunners had ACCEPTED a £10m offer from Leicester City for midfielder Mohamed Elneny, though the Egyptian has reportedly snubbed the move.

It’s thought he is in love with life in London, having moved to the English capital following his switch from Swiss champions FC Basel back in January 2016. The 25-year-old is understood to be happy to stay at the club – even if his playing time is indeed limited – and, to be fair, a lot of the Arsenal supporters here this evening are delighted about that.

With central midfield proving to be such a problem position for the club over the years, our resident Gooners are eager to see as much strength in the depth kept there as possible.
