The cash crisis at Goodison Park runs the risk of jeopardising Everton’s bid to land want-away Wigan star Charles N’Zogbia.
The Frenchman would set Moyes back £9m and the Everton boss is keen to wrap up the deal before continuing his hunt in the transfer market.
According to Mirrorfootball Bill Kenwright is happy to bring in N’Zogbia for the fee agreed but with the sale of Joseph Yobo and Yakubu yet to be complete and Wigan demanding £4.5m upfront the Toffees are struggling to raise the money.
The winger has been a key player for the latics since signing in 2009, and despite the fee it is unlikely they will be able to attract the sort of player with N’Zogbia’s ability, and I believe his departure will leave a huge void to fill at the DW stadium.
The 25 year old is also looking forward to a new challenge at breaking into the top end of the table, rather then breaking out of the bottom.
Everton certainly need to act quick as the likes of Arsenal, Newcastle and Liverpool have also shown their admiration towards the player, and you have to feel if an offer comes in for the play-maker the opportunity will vanish rapidly for David Moyes.
