Arsenal should make the addition of a proper winger a priority in either the upcoming January transfer market or next summer's window and Ousmane Dembélé could be the perfect fit to Unai Emery's plan.

According to the Sun Liverpool are reportedly planning a whopping £85m-deal for the Barcelona winger, who was snubbed by manager Ernesto Valverde on Sunday for the match against Real Betis after missing two training sessions last week.

Jurgen Klopp is looking to add more of a threat to his attack but for Emery and Arsenal, the need for a winger should be bigger and more important. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alex Iwobi's performances in Sunday's draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers indicated the Gunners still are a bit short of providing Alexandre Lacazette with the ideal partner that could lead the team to greater heights.

Aubameyang showed why he is better playing through the middle as he lacks the skill and quick feet to get himself out of tight situations on the wings, while Iwobi lacked the final touches to create real threatening chances. And, although credit has to be given to the way Wolves defended at the Emirates, Emery would definitely need to consider someone like Dembélé to bring the complete package to this Arsenal team.

The 21-year-old's quick feet and ability to create a chance out of nothing is exactly what Emery would want on the flanks, while it would benefit Lacazette in the centre as well. Dembélé made the move from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona last year and although he has shown glimpses of his capabilities, the chance of playing in the Premier League and under the tactical guidance of Emery might do his career the world of good at this stage.

Danny Welbeck's horrible ankle injury last week has all but ended his time at the North London club and it could be the ideal opportunity to make an organised and structured bid for a world-class winger in Dembélé. If Arsenal were to pose a challenge in the Premier League again or compete in the Champions League again, then they would need someone with the creativeness, speed and control of Dembélé to help rip opposition defenders apart.
