Arsenal lacked a decent creator in the midfield in Sunday's 3-1 defeat to Manchester City and would've been better in attack if Aaron Ramsey played behind Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang again.

Manager Unai Emery opted for a front-three with Alex Iwobi starting on the left-wing, while both Ramsey and Mesut Ozil were named on the bench.

Ramsey was brilliant in the North London club's important 2-0 win over Chelsea two weeks ago, where he played in the number ten role.

The Welshman was lethal that night at the Emirates and Arsenal looked really dangerous every time he took the ball up with Lacazette and Aubameyang in front of him.

Emery, though, has made it no secret that he prefers playing with width and with wingers attacking from the flanks, instead of trying to cut opposition teams open through the middle.

This has also ultimately led to the exclusion of Ozil from the team for some time now and while a player like Iwobi hasn't done much wrong this campaign, the Gunners just look more threatening and dangerous with a central operator like Ramsey.

The reason why Ramsey should take up this responsibility rather than Ozil is down the fact that the 28-year-old has shown great determination and eagerness to make a difference in the team, mainly down to the fact that he will reportedly join Juventus at the end of the season.

And, to be honest, Ramsey deserves to play as much as he can before his time at the Emirates comes to an end.

He also offers a lot more defensively than Ozil in that position and is a proper box-to-box midfielder.

Ramsey showed in the North London derby in December just how good he can be if the game becomes open and the likes of Lacazette and Aubameyang have space to work with.

His passing and crossing all around the pitch make it difficult for opposition teams to predict his next move, while his movement in and around the box has reaped massive rewards for Arsenal over the years. Indeed, the Gunners need to enjoy him while they can.
