Arsenal target Yoann Gourcoff is nothing but a rumour according to his agent Alain Migliaccio. The French 25-year-old is a talented player who has drawn comparisons to French legend Zinedine Zidane due to his playing style.
Gourcoff was believed to be a huge admirer of Wenger’s and was identified as a potential replacement to fill the role left by Cesc Fabregas.
Gourcoff has struggled to make an impact since his move to Lyon from Bordeaux in 2010 and has admitted his disappointment and frustration with his performances. He said “I expected a lot more of myself” and “It’s clear that my attacking contribution is not enough”
Rumours were speculating that Wenger could change the 25-year-old’s fortunes around and bring him to London. However Alain Migliaccio has squashed any rumours regarding his client insisting nothing is concrete.
He told calciomercato.it.: Yoann is working to return as soon as possible to the field after an ankle injury,
“The rumours about the [Arsenal] interest? At the moment he is only thinking about his recovery.
“Wenger is a dear friend of mine and I have never been asked about this player.”Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
