Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are debating what sort of activity they can expect this summer, with the tabloids continuing to speculate about high-profile departures.
Whilst the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere are all set to enter the final 12 months of their deals, links have also emerged that suggest the likes of Olivier Giroud, David Ospina and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could also leave.
Speculation has also suggested that Lucas Perez could return to Spanish football after limited opportunities during his debut season in North London but his agent, Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle, told Goal no talks regarding an exit have been initiated.
“It’s not true and we haven’t been talking with anyone. Lucas has three years left on his contract with Arsenal. In the summer when the season is finished we can talk but right now we are only thinking about Arsenal.”
£14.45m-rated Perez is currently sidelined with a thigh injury but has found it difficult to maintain a spot in the starting line-up this season, even finding himself dropped after scoring a hat-trick in the Champions League against FC Basel.
Our landlord believes Arsenal would be making a mistake in allowing Perez to leave, as he feels the Spaniard has never really been given a chance at the club.
