It’s not been an easy start for Unai Emery in his role as Arsenal manager. The Spaniard was handed perhaps the most difficult two fixures you can get, playing both of the last two champions in his first two games, so the former PSG coach should be cut some slack.
Still, the two losses on the bounce do invariably put added pressure on today’s game at home to West Ham United. While the Gunners are – and probably will be for a while – a work in progress in the early stages of the post-Wenger era, they will be expected to win against Manuel Pellegrini’s side, especially on home soil.
With that in mind, we recently asked Arsenal fans online who they thought Emery should turn to. Neither Alex Iwobi or Aaron Ramsey have yet seemingly nailed down a place under his watch amid the vast array of attacking options he has available to him, so we put the question to our readers.
Interestingly enough, 57% of polled supporters want Iwobi over Ramsey. The former, who has stalled in recent years, looks to have the faith of supporters, while Ramsey’s ongoing contract saga may indeed be an issue at play here.
