Arsenal and Chelsea suffer Real Madrid induced blow as Zidane targets £20m lynchpin

While the Transfer Tavern is usually packed to the rafter with punters pledging themselves to Premier League teams, the Landlord is chatting away to some of the more internationally based drinkers tonight.

A group of Real Madrid fans have brought them with them reports from Marca suggesting the Spanish giants are ready to move for Leicester City title hero N’Golo Kante.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal have been linked with moves for the tireless 25-year old, who is said to have a release clause of around £20m in his deal with the Foxes.

However, the report suggests Los Blancos are eyeing a move for the former Caen lynchpin, in an effort to beef up his options in the defensive midfield berth.

With only Casemiro able to be deployed in that area, the Frenchman is said to be a major target of his legendary compatriot’s this summer.

Those in the Spanish capital will reportedly act quickly to seal the deal for the title winner, who impressed so much in England despite his largely unheralded arrival on these shores just under a year ago.

Could you really blame Kante for moving to Real Madrid?
