Arsenal and Man United in £24m transfer tussles for free-kick magician

The name Hakan Calhanoglu may not be the easiest to pronounce for the punters in the Transfer Tavern after a few drinks, though the Arsenal and Man United fans in may have to do exactly that.

One of the most feared free-kick takers in the European game, the Bayer Leverkusen playmaker has carved a reputation out as one of the most creative attackers in Europe over recent seasons.

While the 22-year old is undoubtedly one of the best players in Bundesliga, the club are, according to Kicker (via talkSPORT), open to the idea of a mammoth sale.

They paid Hamburg around £12m for his services back in 2014 and are reportedly looking for well over double of that should they let the Turkish international leave this summer.

Those at the BayArena are said to feel as if his progress has stalled over the past season or so and a sale may be the best option, with the Gunners and Red Devils thought to be keen.

Why would Leverkusen want to sell Calhanoglu?! Where would he fit in best? Let us know below…
