According to Italian media outlet Il Messaggero, North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are both interested in Napoli’s Lorenzo Insigne, with both sets of fans beginning to wind one another up here in the Transfer Tavern ahead of the derby.
The two sides are both looking like they will challenge for the title this season with Arsenal only behind Manchester City on goal-difference and Spurs three points behind after drawing at home to Leicester City on Saturday.
The two face each other this weekend on Sunday at the Emirates and whilst they’ll be looking for bragging rights on the pitch, whoever signs Insigne, if one of them do, will get the chance to show off away from the pitch.
Insigne has struggled this season as the Naples side have looked out of sorts in Serie A after Gonzalo Higuain left in the summer and replacement Arkadiusz Milik was injured, so the 25-year-old may feel now is the time to move on.
Wolfsburg and Liverpool are also reported to be keen on the midfielder, who has experience at the top level and is a regular for the Azzurri.
