News from the continent has made it’s way to the bar at the Football Transfer Tavern, as an Arsenal flop looks set to spend yet another season away from the Emirates.
Polish international, Wojciech Szczesny, is set for another season abroad as reports from Italian website Gazzetta Mercato, are claiming that representatives from Roma are close to sealing a deal to bring the 26-year-old back for a second spell on loan.
The Arsenal keeper has returned to London but it appears that he has been deemed surplus to requirements by Arsene Wenger and his technical staff and he now looks destined for a future away from North London.
The Landlord at the Tavern reckons that Szczesny will never retain a spot at Arsenal after poor spells of form, as well as incidents such as being caught smoking in the shower after a 2-0 defeat to Southampton in 2015.
The 27-cap keeper kept eight clean sheets in 34 Serie A appearances for Roma last season, enough to convince the club that it is worth bringing him back for another season.
Arsenal fans, we want to hear from you! Can Szczesny still offer Wenger anything or is it wise to have sent him back to Roma? Let us know below…
