Arsenal boss hands club a huge transfer boost with recent statement

Arsenal fans believe their form could be on the rise following their dramatic 2-1 victory over Manchester City at Wembley yesterday, which sealed the Gunners place in next month’s FA Cup final.

The Gunners involvement in the showcase final next month, where they’ll face Chelsea, is the third time in four seasons that Arsene Wenger’s side have reached that stage of the competition and the French boss will be seeking a record eighth FA Cup crown.

Chilean maestro Alexis Sanchez, who scored the winner against the Citizens, will be crucial to Arsenal’s chances of success in the latter stages of the season but concerns remain about the two-time Copa America winner’s future.

Alexis is rapidly approaching the final 12 months of his current contract at the Emirates Stadium but Arsene Wenger has handed fans a significant boost, with The Sun quoting the Frenchman as stating Alexis will remain at the club next season.

“Alexis Sanchez was like the team, he had problems to start with and became stronger and stronger. He is an animal, always ready to kill the opponent. He will never give up.”

“He will be here next year because he has a contract with us and hopefully we will manage to extend it.”

Our landlord believes keeping Alexis in North London is a huge statement on intent from the Gunners but he admits it’s a risky move, as it would leave the door open for the Chilean to move to a Premier League rival for free next summer.

Should Arsenal allow Alexis Sanchez to run down his contract next season? Let us know in the comments below!
