Arsenal consider earth shattering £35m swoop on Liverpool target as Vardy alternative (not Gotze)

Though Jamie Vardy’s assumed snub of Arsenal has served as somewhat of a bitter thing to swallow amongst the Gunners in the Transfer Tavern, it certainly has opened the door back up to the wonderful world of rumours and reports.

According to the Daily Mail, manager Arsene Wenger has switched his attentions from his fox hunt of the Foxes forward, to a number of top marksmen around the continental game.

One of those in particular is said to be Southampton ace Sadio Mane, who has been touted as a mega money target for fellow Premier League titans, Liverpool.

The Saints are believed to value their Senegalese striker at around £35m, having brought him to the South Coast in 2014 for little over £10m.

Le Professeur is understood to have been a fan of the 24-year old since his days with Red Bull Salzburg and could potentially offer swap/loan deal involving the likes of Calum Chambers (a graduate of Southampton’s famed academy) in any deal.

Is Mane too inconsistent to pay £35m for?!
