Arsenal: Fans angry as Adrian Durham slams Matteo Guendouzi and Dani Ceballos praise on talkSPORT

Arsenal fans are desperate to find some positives from their disappointing recent form. They’ve won just two out of their last 10 league games, and frustration showed towards now-ex-captain Granit Xhaka and Unai Emery epitomises the annoyance at the lack of positivity surrounding the club.
Adrian Durham and Danny Murphy discussed the Arsenal fanbase on talkSPORT Drive, and they chose to criticise the fans’ praise of Dani Ceballos and Matteo Guendouzi over the last few weeks. Accusing the fanbase of being reactionary, Durham said “Ceballos had a good 45 minutes, all of a sudden he was the answer” and “Guendouzi had a few good games, they’re saying he should be captain”.
They were referring to AFTV’s ‘fancam’ Youtube videos, one of which includes the title ‘Guendouzi should be captain’. Arsenal fans saw a clip of the talkSPORT discussion posted to Twitter and replied in numbers to let it be known that not all fans have the same opinions as those on AFTV.

You can see some of their reactions to the tweet below:
Arsenal fans as a whole aren’t represented by the characters from AFTV who a bit like Adrian, say anything for attention.

😂😂 Of course…we all think like that! What utter rubbish….don’t use AFTV as a representative example of what Gooners think…the vast majority of us are embarrassed by them!

I can’t recall anybody saying Guendouzi should be captain. I agree about Ceballos but Guendouzi, for his age, has had much more than “a few good games”. Once again these idiots are way off.

don’t think he’s ever heard of the word “sarcasm”

The majority of Arsenal fans are definitely not wanting Guendouzi to be captain…what a ridiculous sweeping comment. Shouldn’t even be in the starting 11 as he makes too many mistakes.

1. People get excited when they see someone do well and tend to exaggerate. Just ask Rio Ferdinand.
2. Nobody said Guendouzi should be captain, people said he has more captain qualities than most on this team.

Arsenal fans, what do you think of Adrian Durham’s comments?
