Arsenal: Fans annoyed after latest reports over future of Shkodran Mustafi

Arsenal fans are feeling annoyed after the latest reports about the future of Shkodran Mustafi. Indeed, according to Suleyman Rodop, Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray are not interested in the German centre-back.

Mustafi has recently changed agents, joining SBE Management and The Mirror claims his new representatives wants to hold talks with the Emirates Stadium hierarchy due to his limited playing time. Club legend Ian Wright hasn’t been his biggest fan and recently told head coach Mikel Arteta to sell him after he looked ‘absolutely petrified’ against Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham (BBC’s MOTD 2 via The Metro).

This season has proven a challenging one for the centre-back as he’s been limited to just 1o appearances in all competitions with just one start coming in the Premier League (via Transfermarkt). However, what could hurt Mustafi the most is the lack of starts afforded to him despite the fact Arteta’s men have conceded 30 goals in just 21 top-flight games (via Premier League).

The news that the 27-year-old isn’t of interest to Galatasaray seems to have annoyed fans as they took to Twitter to react to the report. Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:
