Some Arsenal fans are annoyed after Unai Emery asked his players to vote for who should be the club’s new captain.
At the time of writing this, BBC Sport’s David Ornstein had revealed that Granit Xhaka had been chosen to skipper the side this season, with the role of vice-captain thought to be between striking duo Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, and that has now been confirmed via Arsenal’s official Twitter account.
It was revealed in an interview by Rob Holding that the players were asked to vote on who they think should be the club’s new captain.
Holding said: “He likes his five captains. We had a vote the other week so we’ll see what happens and see who gets named.” (Source: football.london)

what a ridiculous saga this captaincy thing is turning into. I wouldn’t mind so much if the role wasn’t absolutely meaningless

Emery doesn’t know how to decide. Still looking for a team style after years.
