Arsenal fans are far from impressed about Shkodran Mustafi’s apparent latest comments

Arsenal fans in the Tavern have lashed out at German centre-back Shkodran Mustafi after he reportedly claimed that Arsenal aren’t using forwards, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the right way. These apparent comments have led to fans slating the 25-year-old and claiming he needs to work on his own defensive game before talking about the clubs forwards.

Mustafi’s reported comments might make a lot of sense but after an abysmal defensive showing from a number of Arsenal’s players, including himself, in last Sunday’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final. The fans are now making it clear they’re more worried about the defensive work of the £25.2 million player, as rated by the good people over at Transfermarkt, than they are about the team going forward.

Arsenal host Manchester City tonight in what is the clubs second meeting in five days and Arsene Wenger will be hoping he can fare better against Pep Guardiola this time around to regain some pride for the Gunners. For Wenger to pull to get a result against a much-fancied Manchester City side however, he’ll have to get more out of Aubameyang, as the electric Gabonese forward has failed to reach his best in England scoring only one goal in 270 minutes since joining Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in January.

Here’s what the Arsenal fans had to say
