Arsenal supporters have been reasonably satisfied in recent times after seeing their side head into the international break unbeaten in their last 16 games in all competitions.

Unai Emery’s men went into their most recent Premier League encounter with newly-promoted Wolves having not tasted defeat in the league since August, in which time they had won seven and drawn the other two of their nine matches prior to the visit of Nuno Espirito Santo’s side. And the Gunners had Henrikh Mkhitaryan to thank for preserving their unbeaten run, what with the Armenia international netting four minutes from time to secure a 1-1 draw for the hosts following Ivan Cavaliero’s opener for the West Midlands club.

Nonetheless, there have been many satisfied Arsenal fans up and down the country given their side’s excellent recent run, although many have taken to Twitter in recent times to react to comments made by Everton’s Richarlison, who has spoken glowingly about the North London giants.

Yet several of those fans on Twitter stopped short of saying they wanted their side to make a move for the forward, but his start to life at Goodison Park, alongside the promise shown at Watford last term, suggests that those supporters are very wrong indeed.

Ultimately, there were a few eyebrows raised when the Toffees spent £50 million on the Brazil international during the summer, what with the 21-year-old scoring just five goals and laying on five assists for the Hornets in his debut Premier League season last term.

And with all of those contributions coming before the turn of the year, £50 million seemed very steep indeed, only for Richarlison to bat away those doubters by starting life at Goodison Park absolutely brilliantly.

The forward, who has been playing in the main striker’s role in recent games, has netted six goals in just ten games for Marco Silva’s side this term in their run to ninth place in the table, thus underlining that he does indeed have the quality to make a big difference in England’s top-flight.

And while some Arsenal fans aren’t convinced whether he’d fit in at the Emirates Stadium, the fact that Aaron Ramsey will leave the club at the end of the season suggests that further attacking reinforcements are indeed needed - Richarlison is one man they could target.

Ultimately, while some will point to last season’s downturn in form as a reason against landing the 21-year-old, he has scored more goals this term than Alex Iwobi, who has earned much praise from fans, and more goals than Mkhitaryan has following his move from Manchester United back in January - he’d add a great deal to the forward ranks.

Yes, the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Mesut Ozil will likely command regular football ahead of the Brazilian, but there’s no reason why the 21-year-old wouldn’t slot seamlessly into Emery’s front line - he has proven a lot already in his short stint at Everton.

As such, those fans hoping their side don’t make a move for the Toffees ace are so wrong, as the arrival of the £40.5 million-rated ace (as per Transfermarkt) could turn out to be a masterstroke.
