Arsenal: Fans back Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after string of tweets about former club

Many Arsenal fans were left backing their star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after he was called out by Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke.

Dortmund’s CEO took aim at Aubameyang over his swap of Champions League for the Europa League and also said the only reason he is at the north London club is to make money (via Daily Mail).

The Gabonese striker was less than pleased with the comments from Watzke as he accused the CEO of breaking his promise over the sale of Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona (via Twitter).

Aubameyang also alluded to another problem between the two when he threatened to reveal the real reason for his departure from the German club.

The striker has been in brilliant form this season, becoming the first Arsenal striker since Dennis Bergkamp in 1997 to score seven goals in the first seven league games of a season (via Goal).
