Arsenal: Fans bemoan departure of youngster Robbie Burton to Dinamo Zagreb

Arsenal’s Robbie Burton has joined Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb on a permanent deal, the club has confirmed.
The Gunners are blessed with a plethora of talent in midfield with Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi, Joe Willock and Dani Ceballos all competing for just a few spots in the centre of the park. It makes a move abroad an understandable decision from a player who was praised by club legend Ray Parlour last summer.
After all, Burton is the same age (20) as curly-haired wonder Guendouzi, who has been tipped to have a ‘big future’ by former midfielder Cesc Fabregas. The Frenchman has also made more than 75 first team appearances, with the Englishman having left north London without making any. However, despite the lack of progression in his young career, these Arsenal fans were left feeling upset with the decision to get rid of the youth team player as they reacted to the news. Here is a selection of tweets:
That’s bad business. Liverpool are selling the likes of Solanke for 20m, and we’re selling out for pennies on the dollar. Watch him return to England in a few years for 20x that price.

Tell me he’s going on loan, pls

Very strange deal, especially considering he has been involved in a number of first team squads over the last 18 months. Was there no potential of a loan move instead?

Another Bennacer situation. No matter what we wish all the best for him.
