Arsenal: Fans choose Santi Cazorla as their favourite player in the Emirates era - Arsenal

Many Arsenal fans have chosen Santi Cazorla as their favourite player of the Emirates era after they were asked on AFTV Media’s Twitter page.

Other names that were tossed around were Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott, Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Tomas Rosicky, but the Spaniard was seemingly the favourite.

Cazorla played 180 games for the Gunners in all competitions, scoring 29 goals and providing 45 assists, according to Transfermarkt. The 35-year old suffered a horrible injury which kept him out of his final season in north London, and he was subsequently released in 2018. He has been tipped to sign off with a proper farewell in the summer as Cazorla and former coach Arsene Wenger are set to return in pre-season for the Emirates Cup (via the Sun Sport).

The ‘little magician’ as he was sometimes referred to by Gunners fans was a faithful servant and only really saw his time at Arsenal cut short by injury. Still, the fan-favourite has not been forgotten by supporters, with many of them voting for him as their favourite player of the Emirates era:
