Arsenal fans have been hitting out at Unai Emery over the comments made by their former head coach on Aaron Ramsey.
The Basque-born coach came out and said it was the club’s decision not to award the Welsh midfielder a new contract, not his (via Osmanzthegooner).
Last season, it was revealed by The Mirror (via Daily Star) that the real reason Ramsey left the club was due to the fact he didn’t fit Emery’s ‘tactical requirements’.
Ramsey left the Gunners after exactly 10 years in north London. He was signed by former manager Arsene Wenger back in the summer of 2008 and went on to enjoy a superb time with the club.
He won three FA Cups in just four years, scoring the winning goals in the finals against Hull City and Chelsea.
The Wales international also seemed to be a much-loved figure at the club with his goal in the 5-1 thumping of Fulham drawing a lot of loving reaction from supporters (via talkSPORT).
Fans were left disbelieving the comments by the Spaniard as they took to Twitter to take aim at him for Ramsey’s departure.
Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:
Lol, of course it was a “club decision” Unai. A club decision made because you totally changed your mind on his importance in the span of 3 months.
I’m sure it’ll be a best seller to pay for them veneers, but I ain’t fucking buying it

Possible but his recommendation

It was also the club decisions to send Miktaryn on loan and sell Iwobi. Emery should just accept his failure.

After 22yrs Arsene Wenger still hasn’t spilled the beans on what happened in the background. This bum is out of the job for a month and has verbal diarrhoea. https://t.co/0LkkkIc6ZT
