Many Arsenal fans have been whipped into a frenzy after reports emerged claiming Arsene Wenger and Santi Cazorla could return for a farewell match.
According to the Daily Mail, the Frenchman was contacted by the club about returning to north London for the first time since he left at the end of the 2017/18 season. It seems as though the Gunners are hoping to meet Cazorla’s current team Villarreal, in a pre-season friendly, although the team’s summer plans have not been finalised due to the possibility of playing in European qualifiers.
Both men enjoyed fantastic careers with the club, with the Spain international winning back-to-back FA Cups. Meanwhile, Wenger won 10 major trophies, including three Premier League titles. These Arsenal fans were left bubbling with excitement at the prospect of the two men returning to the Emirates Stadium as they took to Twitter to react to the report.
