Arsenal: Fans happy as Eddie Nketiah looks set to stay in north London

Arsenal fans were happy after David Ornstein revealed the latest news about Eddie Nketiah and his future for the second half of the season.
The Athletic’s journalist revealed that the young striker will remain at the club instead of going out on loan to a Championship side. It comes after the England youth international was said to have impressed head coach Mikel Arteta in training upon his return from Leeds United.
Despite starting just four games across all competitions for the Elland Road outfit, Nketiah impressed while in Yorkshire as he scored five goals, including the winning goal against Brentford in August (via Transfermarkt). In stark contrast, Alexandre Lacazette has been floundering in recent weeks and has not scored in any of his last six games in all competitions.
Fans were feeling happy about the decision to keep Nketiah in the first team rather than shipping him out on loan as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful, as one supporter whipped out the classic ‘like a new signing’ cliche:
Mikel’s so vocal and honest, love it
