Arsenal: Fans happy with progress despite late loss to Chelsea - Arsenal

Arsenal fans have been displaying their happiness with the side’s progress despite the fact the Gunners let a one-goal lead slip in their loss to rivals Chelsea.

The red half of north London were leading with just under 10 minutes to go; however, a mixture of mistakes and clinical finishing from the Blues saw Mikel Arteta taste defeat in his first home game as head coach.

Jorginho scored the equalising goal after Bernd Leno appeared to misjudge the flight of a cross from Mason Mount.

Tammy Abraham then stole all three points late on with a tap in from close range after the Blues had counter-attacked the Gunners.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ position was used as one example of an area fans believe Arteta has changed with supporters adamant the youngster is playing an inside position (via football.london).

Overall, the fans seemed happy with the progression being made as they took to Twitter to react following the loss to Frank Lampard’s side.
