Arsenal: Fans hit out after club face competition from Napoli for Greek player - Arsenal

Arsenal fans have been hitting out at the club after they were reported to be in a battle with Serie A side Napoli for Konstantinos Tsimikas.

According to Corriere Dello Sport’s Campania edition (via Sport Witness), the Gunners are in the hunt to sign the Olympiacos man, however, Gennaro Gattuso’s side are also interested in the left-back. Still, he’s not the only left-sided defender linked with a move to north London with Mikel Arteta’s club also said to be in for Paris Saint Germain’s Layvin Kurzawa (via David Ornstein).

One fan made his feelings on the links clear as he claimed the Gunners would soon be linked with former Liverpool man, Paul Konchesky.

The Olympiakos ace has enjoyed a strong campaign with the side having featured in 26 games across all competitions. He also played in all six Champions League group stage games, including the stunning comeback at home to Tottenham Hotspur (via Transfermarkt).

In comparison to Kieran Tierney, the 23-year-old has averaged more tackles per game in Europe’s premier competition than the Scotsman has managed in the Europa League.

Fans weren’t too happy about the club being linked with yet another left-sided defender as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from the Emirates Stadium faithful:

Arsenal fans, what are your thoughts on the links with the Olympiakos man? Let us know below!
