Arsenal fans joke that Joachim Low is joining Mesut Ozil at the Emirates after Twitter post

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been responding to a tweet put out by the German national team. The tweet contained a picture of Germany manager Joachim Low and Mesut Ozil with the words “caption this” leading to a number of Arsenal fans joking that Low would be on his way to The Emirates soon.

The Arsenal fans propping our bar up have been calling for Arsene Wenger to leave their club for a number of seasons now, although over the last two years the protests have reached fever pitch. This current season is Wenger’s first season at Arsenal where he hasn’t been in the Champions League and it’s looking extremely unlikely that the club will qualify for the tournament through their league position this season, although a saving grace for the club could be the Europa League.

Joachim Low could be just what the Gunners need, the 58-year-old manager has won both the World Cup and the Confederations Cup with Germany since being appointed manager back in the summer of 2006. However, the German is coming up to 12 years in charge of Die Mannschaft and could be looking to move on from his role with the national team after the World Cup in Russia. If Low departs, he could time it just right with Arsene Wenger’s bow at The Emirates, a move that many Arsenal fans could get behind.

Here’s our local Gunners verdict on Low:
