Plenty of Arsenal fans hit out at Alexandre Lacazette after an update on the Frenchman’s future emerged.
According to The Times, there is an understanding between the club and the 28-year-old that he will be allowed to leave if the Gunners don’t qualify for the Champions League this season. However, this stance hasn’t impressed some supporters who want him to leave whether qualification is secured or not. Lacazette has endured a tough campaign this year, scoring a mere eight goals and assisting a further three in 24 games across all competitions (via Transfermarkt).
He has earned the wrath of fans over the course of this campaign, with many having asked the club to sell him. The France international also seems to have lost the support of Mikel Arteta, who has started Eddie Nketiah in the last two Premier League games. His form has seen a few Arsenal supporters turn against the £63m-rated (as per Transfermarkt) ace as they took to Twitter to plead with the Emirates Stadium giants to sell the centre-forward. Here are some of their tweets:
Keep Auba and sell laca , would love laca to stay but he’s not on the best of upward trajectories and I’ve been a massive fan of his but if he’s holding us to ransom in some way we should do back ,,

This guy is an absolute joker. He has dropped one of the worst seasons ever from an Arsenal striker and still thinks he is good enough to play in the CL 😂

this guy has scored fewer goals in London this season than a Bayern Munich player has in two games, why does he think a Champions League club is gonna come calling https://t.co/AjhZcvTVny
