Arsenal: Fans lash out at Bayern Munich after Arsene Wenger’s comments on Serge Gnabry

Some Arsenal fans have lashed out at Bayern Munich after Arsene Wenger commented on why Serge Gnabry left the club in the summer of 2016.

The former manager confirmed that the north London outfit had an agreement with the player over a new deal; however, he opted to join Werder Bremen after returning from the Olympic Games in Brazil. Wenger then went on to claim that he had made an agreement with the Bavarian side rather than the River Islanders (via beIN SPORTS).

It’s a transfer that has come back to haunt the Gunners with the Germany international having shown his quality during his time with the Bundesliga champions. Gnabry has scored 30 goals in just 72 games for the European giants, making the £5m deal look like poor business (via Transfermarkt). These Arsenal fans were fuming with Bayern after the comments from Wenger during beIN SPORTS’ coverage of Tuesday night’s Champions League tie against Chelsea, taking to Twitter to react. Here are some of their tweets:
