Arsenal: Fans laud Eddie Nketiah after forward scores in narrow win over Everton

Eddie Nketiah has endured quite a strange season. Indeed, just a few weeks ago he warmed the bench for Leeds United as he found starts hard to come by in the Championship. However, he’s since returned to Arsenal and has replaced Alexandre Lacazette as the club’s first-choice number nine in the Premier League of late, which could be seen as a surprise given the Frenchman’s greater experience.

Still, he vindicated Mikel Arteta’s decision to start him in yesterday’s clash against Everton as he scored the equalising goal for the Gunners. Impressively, his brilliant movement into the penalty box coupled with Bukayo Saka’s fantastic cross saw the youngster score just the second top-flight goal of his career.

One fan called him an ‘absolute talent’.

The England youth international performed brilliantly in the game against the Merseysiders as he had the most shots on goal and was the joint-second most fouled player for his side, as per WhoScored. As a result, fans were full of praise for the 20-year-old for his performance as they took to Twitter to react after he posted a message on his Twitter account. Let’s take a look at some of the reactions:
