Many Arsenal fans were gushing over their former player Serge Gnabry after the German aimed a dig at Chelsea, as he did against Tottenham after scoring against them in October.
The attacker was in red-hot form as he scored a brace against the west London outfit in Bayern Munich’s 3-0 win in the Champions League last night. He then took to Twitter to send a message to the Blues and his former club as he claimed London is ‘still red’ (via Serge Gnabry).
Gnabry had a mixed time in north London as he became their second-youngest scorer in the Premier League but had a horrible loan spell at West Bromwich Albion. He was eventually sold to Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen in the summer of 2016 for a mere £5m, a transfer which has come back to haunt the Emirates Stadium giants. The Germany international has turned around his career with the Bavarian side and has scored 30 goals in just 72 games for the team (via Transfermarkt).
A lot of Arsenal fans loved the message from the 24-year-old as they took to Twitter to react. Here are some of their tweets:
We miss you deeply Serge
