Arsenal: Fans send Mikel Arteta heartfelt messages after he tests positive for the coronavirus

Many Arsenal fans have united on Twitter to send heartfelt messages to Mikel Arteta after the north London club revealed that he has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Arsenal released a statement that was relaid on their official Twitter page; it was simply titled: ‘Club statement: COVID-19′. Fans must have been fearing the worst that one of their players or their manager had tested positive for the virus, and indeed it was Arteta.
Many others from the club have been put in isolation to minimise the risk of COVID-19 spreading, which means that all games will be postponed until further notice. Arsenal’s away trip to Brighton in the Premier League this weekend had already been postponed and the Gunners’ away game at Manchester City was also called off earlier in the week.
Arteta has revealed that he was feeling poorly and that he will be back at work as soon as he is allowed. You can read the full club statement here.
These Arsenal fans were amongst many to send heartfelt messages to the Spanish coach on Twitter:
