Arsenal: Fans slam Joe Willock for his performance against Brighton and Hove Albion

Arsenal fans tore into Joe Willock after the midfielder’s performance in the defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 20-year-old was hooked at half time for record signing Nicolas Pepe, with one fan berating him for being ‘weak’:
@Joewillock Doesn’t Deserve To Start Any Premier League Match He Is Very Weak & @SokratisPapa5 Should Be Dropped I Never Like His Defending Always Lose Marking #ARSBHA

Willock endured a nightmare performance last night as he completed just 46.2% of his 13 passes in his 45 minutes on the pitch (via WhoScored).
He was also berated by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for playing a wayward pass when the side were on the attack (Prime Video via Metro).
It’s not the first time Willock has been hauled off at half time this season, also suffering the same fate in the 1-0 loss away to Sheffield United.
Fans were less than pleased with the performance of the youngster as they took to Twitter to bemoan his performance.
Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:

He has an impossible task I agree. But, IMO he hasn’t been brave enough in his team selection. Joe Willock has been appalling, yet Reiss Nelson can’t make the squad ! Pepe should start, made a difference when he came on. Martinelli also deserves a start. Time to be brave
