Arsenal: Fans slate Gabriel Martinelli for comments on Champions League and domestic titles

Lots of fans have slated Gabriel Martinelli after he told FourFourTwo that he wants to win the Champions League and many domestic titles with Arsenal.
The north London club have not won the Premier League title since the Invincibles season in 2004 and have been shy of a domestic trophy since beating Chelsea in the FA Cup final in 2017. They have also never won the Champions League, but do boast two European trophies to their name in the 1970 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup and the 1994 European Cup Winnersβ Cup (via Metro).
However, Martinelli is looking to bring big silverware to the Emirates during his time there and he will hope that he can play a big part in doing so. The young Brazilian has scored ten goals and provided four assists in 26 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners this season, according to Transfermarkt.
Fans on Twitter have voiced their opinion on Martinelli’s comments and lots of them think that the 18-year old may be thinking a little too ambitiously. This is what some supporters had to say on the matter:
