Arsenal: Fans think Odsonne Edouard could replace Alexandre Lacazette - Arsenal

Some Arsenal fans think that Odsonne Edouard could replace Alexandre Lacazette after the Celtic ace was linked to a move to the north London club in the summer transfer window by The Daily Mirror.

Edouard has scored 60 goals in all competitions for the Scottish champions and provided a further 31 assists in just 126 appearances, making his goal or assist contribution per game at an impressive 72%, according to Transfermarkt.

If the Gunners come calling, it may be difficult for Edouard to resist given the potential to play in the Premier League, as former teammate Kieran Tierney found out last summer. After all, the former PSG youngster has won everything possible in Scotland and it’s hard to deny that Arsenal can offer much more in the way of wages, given their status as being one of the biggest teams in the Premier League.

How does the Frenchman compare to Arsenal’s very own Alexandre Lacazette, though? The latter has scored 45 goals and provided 21 assists in 114 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners, according to Transfermarkt. That gives the 28-year old a goal or assist contribution of 58%, less than Edouard, though it could be argued he is playing in a harder division.
