Arsenal: Fans thrilled after Thierry Henry is announced as the manager of Montreal Impact

Arsenal fans were thrilled after legend Thierry Henry was announced as the new manager of Major League Soccer side  Montreal Impact.

The Canadian-based MLS club announced the deal yesterday as the Frenchman signed a two-year contract, which has an option for 2022, with the side (via BBC).

The Arsenal legend returns to MLS for the first time since his spell with New York Red Bulls, which lasted for four-and-a-half years before retiring in December 2014.

Henry’s only other managerial stint came with former club AS Monaco, where the 42-year-old got sacked after just three months in the job.

He was also the assistant under Belgium manager Roberto Martinez as the Red Devils reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in 2018.

Fans were excited for Henry after it was announced he will be returning to management as they took to Twitter to react.
