Arsenal: Fans unhappy about links with Eintracht Frankfurt defender Martin Hinteregger

Arsenal fans are unhappy after a report from Football Insider linking the club with a move Eintracht Frankfurt defender Martin Hinteregger.

According to the publication, the Gunners are competing with Premier League rivals West Ham United over a move for the defender, who is valued at £22m.

Arsenal signed defenders David Luiz and William Saliba in the summer transfer window for £8m and £27m, respectively.

While Saliba was loaned back to French club AS Saint-Etienne, Luiz has so far proven to be a failure with the Brazilian having conceded two penalties in his first four games with the club.

The incompetence of Unai Emery’s side has seen the team already concede 15 goals from their 11 league games, keeping just two clean sheets in the top-flight this campaign.

Despite the flaws with the defence this year, fans were less than eager on signing the player from Eintracht Frankfurt as they took to Twitter to react.

Here is a selection of tweets from Gooners:

Arsenal fans, would you be open to a move for Hinteregger in January? Let us know your thoughts!
