Arsenal fans were left unhappy after Napoli were linked with a €30m (roughly £25m) move for Lucas Torreira.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football Italia), the Serie A club have made a €30m (roughly £25m) offer to sign the Uruguayan midfielder in the January transfer window.
Is Mikel Arteta a worth risk taking for Arsenal?
Torreira joined the north London side in the summer of 2018 for a fee reported to be £26m from Italian side Sampdoria (via Sky Sports).
Selling him for less than £26m would mean the Emirates Stadium giants make a loss on the player, who is only 23-years-old.
The Uruguay international has endured a frustrating campaign at the club so far, starting just eight of the 17 Premier League games (via Transfermarkt).
It has led to speculation over his future after his agent Pablo Bentancur told Calciomercato that his client is ‘no longer at ease’ (Calciomercato via The Metro).
Fans were left unhappy after the reports over Napoli’s offer for Torreira as they took to Twitter to react.
Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:
