Many Arsenal fans are uninterested in potentially signing David Alaba after the Bayern Munich defender talked about a potential move to the Premier League.
In an interview with The Times, the Austrian talked about how he grew up watching the division because he was an Arsenal fan as he hinted about a potential move to the English top-flight, claiming he would ‘see’ about a transfer. Indeed, Alaba will only have a year left on his contract in the summer, meaning he could be available for a decent fee (via Football.London).
He hasn’t been featuring consistently for the German champions this season, appearing in 23 games across all competitions, including just three Champions League fixtures (via Transfermarkt). The Austria international has suffered two injuries this season including a pulled hamstring and a bruised rib and has missed games due to personal reasons.
As a result, some Arsenal fans don’t seem to be too keen on signing the player as they reacted to his comments about the north London outfit. Here are some of their reactions:
One of my fave players over the years but we do not need a left back
