Arsenal: Fans vote Tony Adams as the club’s greatest English player

Arsenal fans were flooding to Twitter to vote Tony Adams as the club’s greatest ever Englishman.
After being posed the question by AFTV, the Gooners were mostly veering towards the club’s youngest ever captain, who took over the armband at the age of just 21 (via Arsenal).
Is Patrick Vieira the man to save Arsenal?
Yes

No

Adams enjoyed a long and distinguished career with the north London giants, making 669 appearances for the club and winning 10 major honours.
He is most famously remembered for bursting through the Everton defence to score the club’s fourth goal on the final day of the 1997/1998 season when the Gunners won their first-ever Premier League title.
Adams’ defensive ability drew praise from all quarters, with George Graham calling him ‘my colossus’ and Arsene Wenger calling him a ‘professor of defence’.
Fans were adamant that the 53-year-old is the club’s greatest ever Englishman as they took to Twitter to react.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Emirates Stadium faithful:
