Arsenal: Fans want club to steer clear of appointing Carlo Ancelotti

Arsenal fans want their club to steer clear of hiring the recently sacked Carlo Ancelotti as the replacement for Unai Emery.
Ancelotti was relieved of his duties as manager of Serie A side Napoli yesterday, despite a 4-0 win and qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
As a result, the Italian was linked with the hotseat at the Emirates Stadium, with reports from the Evening Standard claiming the club are set for talks with the 60-year-old.
However, the Gunners aren’t the only club interested in the former Bayern Munich boss, with Everton also reportedly set to hold talks with him.
The Toffees got off to a rip-roaring start under interim boss Duncan Ferguson, but will surely look to appoint someone with more experience to the permanent position.
Ancelotti has already had a brief but successful spell in England as he managed to lead Chelsea to a Premier League and FA Cup double during the 2009/10 season (via Transfermarkt).
Ancelotti drew stinging criticism from former Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben, who claimed there was better training at his son’s youth team (via Metro).
However, it seems fans aren’t too keen on the manager as they took to Twitter to highlight their doubts over his potential appointment.
Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:
Signing a manager after hes been sacked makes perfect sense.

I’d prefer Pochettino to be honest. Ancelotti was good, think his time had passed, he has been sacked from his last 3 jobs

We absolutely must dodge the Ancelotti bullet. I can see the draw but football has move on since his day. We need a young positive, positional play coach. Anything other will just continue the rot. I’d honestly rather keep Freddie. #Arsenal
